The silver streak, also known as the emperor butterfly, was named butterfly of the year 2022. The largest Central European mother-of-pearl butterfly is bright yellow and has a black pattern on its wings with a wingspan of six centimetres. The butterfly is called a silver stripe because it has two short and one longer silver stripe on the undersides of its wings, which are moss green. The butterfly is admirable from all sides and is as diverse as our cuisine.
