The Silberstreif restaurant serves on selected porcelain from the MEISSEN manufactory. The uniqueness of this table and dining culture was established by the "wedding of the century" of Crown Prince August II in 1719, when a banquet table was set in porcelain for the first time in Europe. MEISSEN porcelain emphasizes the precision craftsmanship of the kitchen. The in-house MEISSEN service collection "Ritter von Kempski", which was developed exclusively for the restaurant and is integrated into the culinary experience, is unique.
Dr. Clemens Ritter von Kempski's enthusiasm for selected art is clearly noticeable in his hotels. For example, the Silberstreif restaurant features impressively detailed original works by Johann Elias Ridinger (1698 - 1767).
His keen eye for animals in their natural environment led to a considerable collection of lifelike drawings. Through his love of hunting and the study of game at the court of Count Metternich, the German painter, etcher and engraver became one of the most outstanding artistic personalities of his time.
A connection to the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory can also be established with the Silberstreif with its strong reference to the forest and nature. Many of the manufactory's hunting and forest motifs were created by him and are artistically depicted on porcelain.
